Non-governmental organization founded in 1992, AMTM is a non-profit and humanitarian registered association. It has been authorized to be a pharmaceutical wholesale distributor for humanitarian purposes
It responds to the call of Tibetan who took refuge in India and Nepal and of the most disadvantaged populations of these two countries. On the spot, it has three complementary lines of actions: medical, long-standing development and sponsorships.
Volunteer doctors, nurses and pharmacists take turns on the spot several times a year. Every year, AMTM doctors give consultations to children here, to elderly there or to a community of women elsewhere. Each site has its uniqueness in the population it accommodates.
Development is carried out by volunteers from various disciplines who check living conditions and hygiene, assess needs, in order to implement repair and construction works.
At last, AMTM manages more than 1,000 sponsorships which are aimed at children, adults and elderly. Sponsorship allows each sponsored person to improve his/her living conditions, to have healthy diet and to have access to medical care.
To fulfill its commitments, Assistance Médicale Toit du Monde receives donations from individuals and firms, and submits sponsorships. Increasingly recognized, it has the growing support from artists, painters, musicians who organize various events in aid of those who do not have the bare minimum compatible with human dignity.
